Reacher is one of the most watched series on Amazon Prime Video. Alan Ritchson plays Jack Reacher, a huge former military police investigator who drifts from town to town with no phone and no plan, and somehow always finds a conspiracy to break open. It is based on Lee Child's best-selling novels and every season mixes smart detective work with brutal fights. If you have finished the latest Reacher season and want more of the same, here are 8 action thrillers to watch next on Prime Video.
1. Tom Clancy's Jack Ryan
John Krasinski plays Jack Ryan, a CIA analyst who is pulled out from behind his desk and into field missions across the Middle East, South America and Europe. Jack Ryan ran for four seasons (2018–2023) and feels like a big-budget spy film in every episode. If you like how Reacher thinks his way through a case before he fights, Jack Ryan on Prime Video is the natural next step.
2. The Terminal List
Chris Pratt stars as James Reece, a Navy SEAL whose whole platoon is killed on a mission. Back home, he finds out the attack was no accident and goes after everyone responsible. The Terminal List is darker and more violent than Reacher, but it has the same lone hero against a powerful system. After it, watch the prequel The Terminal List: Dark Wolf with Taylor Kitsch.
3. Bosch and Bosch: Legacy
Based on Michael Connelly's novels, Bosch follows Harry Bosch, a stubborn Los Angeles homicide detective who never lets a case go. It ran for seven seasons and continues in Bosch: Legacy. It is slower than Reacher, with more detective work and fewer fights, but it is one of the best crime series on Prime Video.
4. Citadel
Richard Madden and Priyanka Chopra Jonas play two agents of a fallen spy agency who lost their memories and have to stop a new enemy. Citadel is fast, glossy and full of action. Its spin-offs take the story around the world: Citadel: Diana in Italy and Citadel: Honey Bunny in India with Varun Dhawan and Samantha.
5. Tom Clancy's Without Remorse
Michael B. Jordan plays John Kelly, a Navy SEAL who hunts down the people who killed his wife. This 2021 Prime Video film comes from the same Tom Clancy world as Jack Ryan and has the same mix of military action and revenge as Reacher.
6. Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Donald Glover and Maya Erskine play two strangers who are given new identities and a house together as a married couple of spies. The 2024 series is funnier and more romantic than Reacher, but every episode is a new mission with real danger.
7. Road House
Jake Gyllenhaal plays a former UFC fighter who takes a job as a bouncer at a bar in the Florida Keys and soon has to fight off a whole gang. This 2024 remake is one of the biggest Prime Video films ever, and it is pure Reacher energy: a quiet stranger who is far tougher than anyone expects.
8. The Tomorrow War
Chris Pratt again, this time as a teacher who is sent 30 years into the future to fight an alien invasion. The Tomorrow War is less realistic than Reacher, but it is a big, fun action film for a weekend night.
Bonus: the Jack Reacher films
Before the series there were two films with Tom Cruise: Jack Reacher (2012) and Jack Reacher: Never Go Back (2016). They are not Prime originals, so they are on Prime Video only in some countries, but if you find them in your library they are fun to compare with Alan Ritchson's Reacher.
