Stranger Things
Kids on bikes, a secret government lab and a monster from the Upside Down. Stranger Things mixes horror, adventure and 1980s nostalgia, and it became one of the biggest Netflix series ever. All five seasons are out; the story ended in 2025, so you can watch Stranger Things from season 1 to the final episode without waiting
The Haunting of Hill House
Mike Flanagan’s The Haunting of Hill House follows the Crain family, who grew up in a haunted house and are still haunted as adults. It is frightening and deeply sad at the same time. If you love it, watch the other Mike Flanagan movies and TV shows on Netflix too: The Haunting of Bly Manor, Midnight Mass and The Fall of the House of Usher.
All of Us Are Dead
A zombie outbreak starts in a Korean high school and the students are trapped inside. All of Us Are Dead is fast, bloody and surprisingly emotional, and one of the best zombie series on any platform. A second season has been announced.
Wednesday
Jenna Ortega plays Wednesday Addams at Nevermore Academy in this series from Tim Burton. It is more mystery and dark comedy than pure horror, which makes it great for watching with family. Wednesday season 2 continues the story.
1899
From the creators of Dark, 1899 follows passengers on a ship from Europe to New York who find a missing ship in the middle of the ocean. Strange, eerie and full of puzzles. Only one season was made.

Bird Box
Sandra Bullock must lead two children down a river with their eyes covered, because seeing the creature means death. Bird Box (2018) is one of the most watched Netflix films ever, and still one of the scariest horror movies on Netflix.
Fear Street trilogy
Three connected films (1994, 1978 and 1666) about a cursed town called Shadyside. Fear Street is a love letter to classic slasher films and perfect for a horror marathon weekend.
Army of the Dead
Zack Snyder’s zombie heist film: a team goes into a zombie-filled Las Vegas to steal millions from a casino vault. More action than fear, with a prequel called Army of Thieves.
The Platform and His House
Two smaller films that stay with you: The Platform is a Spanish horror about a prison where food falls down from floor to floor, and His House is about a refugee couple in England whose new home hides something terrible.
